Last week was my school’s kickoff week, so school is right around the corner! The first day of classes will be tomorrow, so I am very excited about that. It’s strange to be going back amidst the pandemic, but I guess we just have to all be as safe as possible.
Independent study wise, last week I mostly compiled potential sources. I’ve been going through pages and pages of google searches trying to find relevant and credible articles. If you find any you think would be helpful, please feel free to comment the link!
I have been feeling a little intimidated by the study already. Since it’s not even the first day, I’m not too worried in the long run. I think it’s just nerves. I think I just need to remind myself that I am capable of this. I think this is a good lesson to learn, though. You’ll never grow unless you push yourself out of your comfort zone. This is out of my comfort zone. I hope to really gain something special from this experience. I have come to realize that I am not taking this challenge to prove to anyone else I can do it, I’m doing this to prove it to myself.
My intentions for this coming week are to meet with my wonderful content advisors to go over the guidelines and expectations for this semester. I will also be looking at books to order to further my knowledge about adolescent psychology.
